Writing slowly or can’t figure out what to put on that blank page at all?  Try these random writing prompts on for size (they were a BIG help for me):

• A couple on the brink of a nasty divorce get snowed in together during a blizzard.
• The Ten Commandments are discovered in a perviously unopened chamber in Machu Picchu.
• After completing a solo camping trip, a woman gets her film developed and discovers that several of the photos are of her…sleeping.
• While working on the air conditioning, a father finds some loose boards in his teenager’s bedroom.
• An elderly woman decides to rebel against the conventions of socially acceptable behavior.
